Visiting Uganda in the rainy season is the best time to see the gorillas as they spend more time on the ground eating bamboo shoots. Of course, this means walking long distances through (at times) thick vegetation which can be wet and muddy. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\u003eThe fact that these gorillas can still be seen is due, in no small way, to the efforts of Dian Fossey in the 70’s and 80’s.
