!Oareb is the Damara word for zebra. The stripes that make the animal instantly recognisable to us serve another purpose within the herd: each animal's pattern is unique.
Across Namibia's open country, zebras are creatures of movement—following grass, water and the changing seasons. Their apparently simple pattern is, in reality, a signature.
